Just a few more days until we leave for Michigan City to participate in ART/Watch! I am super excited to do some outdoor cyanotyping and toning! The weather looks like it will be cooperating (finally-- it's been an insanely rainy summer), I have a water source, and am ready to go! I will be exposing three 30"x44" cyanotypes, as well as sodium carbonate toning a 6'x3.5' cyanotype that I have already exposed and am currently screenprinting on. I will also have some small cyanotypes that visitors can tone on their own. You can find more event info here: http://goo.gl/bIhHZ7

I was excited to find out that I will be painting this traffic signal box on 3rd Street in Bloomington! The project is organized through the Bloomington Entertainment and Art's District's Stop and StART public art program. My traffic signal box is at a busy intersection with great visibility. Right now I'm figuring out what kind of paint to use, Golden has a nice guide on this: Golden exterior mural painting guide.
I was so pleased to see that one of my pieces was chosen for inclusion in the Summer 2015 issue of "Graphic Impressions", the newsletter of SGC International. This is the image, below, and I've also uploaded a copy of the newsletter for perusal. |
